47 Steps to Healing™
Focus on small steps—each one moves you forward.
Good: Do what you can today.
Better: Do a bit more over time.
Best: Expand or refine what matters most.

Summary of this Step
- Step 1 focuses on establishing the core belief that ALS progression is not always inevitable and that reversals have occurred.
- The step relies on personal stories and video case histories of individuals who report partial or full ALS reversals.
- It introduces the idea that ALS outcomes can vary and that stabilization or improvement is possible in some cases.
- Multiple reversal examples are presented to reinforce credibility and reduce the sense of isolation or hopelessness.
- One featured case (Stephen Sherry) is used to illustrate a multi-step healing approach, previewing themes explored later in the course.
- The emphasis is on mindset, awareness, and motivation, rather than medical protocols or scientific mechanisms.
- Step 1 sets the emotional and psychological foundation for engaging with the remaining steps in the Healing ALS program.
Watch these videos of ALS Reversals
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ALS disease is a neurogenerative condition that can be treated and reversed with holistic ALS treatment and methods.
These are just a few examples of ordinary people who reversed ALS symptoms. As you will discover, ALS life expectancy is not set in stone.
Today, Nelda Buss is in her 80’s.
Today, Mark Manchester is living a full life.
Kim was diagnosed in 2011 with ALS at age 63. He was given 1 year to live, not only because of ALS but also since he had severe heart disease. As a result of holistic treatments, Kim reversed almost all of his ALS symptoms, and was able to golf until his last year. Kim lived an additional 12 years beyond expectations, and eventually succumbed to heart failure at the age of 76.
1. Homework: At the end of this video please write down the 15 steps Stephen used to reverse ALS.
2. Homework: Subscribe to our YouTube channel.
- Please note there are many more videos with ALS reversals or ALS presentations on the Healing ALS YouTube channel @HealingAdvocates.
- Please subscribe to keep updated on new videos to our channel. Healing Advocates – YouTube
3. Homework: Visit HealingALS.org and click on “ALS Reversals” in top menu.
- Click on either the picture of each person or their name to read more about them.
- We will be adding more ALS reversals as we find them.
- If you know of any ALS Reversals, partial ALS reversals or long term survivors who are not listed, please email info@healngals.org. Thank you for your help!
4. Homework: Write 3 new gratitudes and 1 “best moment” every day.
- Writing down gratitudes daily changes the physiology of the body to healing mode. Most ALS reversals do this daily.
- Gratitudes should be written down either on paper, in a journal or typed on a computer or phone
- A “best moment” can be from the past 24 hours or any event in the past it makes you smile to remember.
- This should take only a few minutes each day. Writing them down once per day is important. Feel free to think and feel gratitudes throughout the day in addition, to return your body chemistry to healing bode.

Check for Understanding and Completion of Step 1:
I have noted the peer-reviewed scientific journal articles in the References section below in case my neurologist would like to see them.
If you have checked all boxes, Congratulations! You have completed Step 1!
