Jerry Tennant MD is an integrative practitioner and ophthalmologist who did the majority of the research for the laser (VISX) used in LASIK surgery. Doing so, he inhaled viruses, got encephalitis and spent about seven years in bed. How he healed this illness and then applied that knowledge to helping others is an important part of his presentation at the HealingALS conference. Dr. Tennant received his MD & did a residency in ophthalmology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He was an international lecturer in Ophthalmic Surgery 1978-1995. In 2005, he founded the Tennant Institute for Integrative and Natural Medicine in Dallas, Texas. He has trained medical doctors and health care practitioners in the United States & internationally on Energetic & Integrative Medicine and advanced micro-current therapy, especially for chronic pain.
