Todd Mitchell
Diagnosed in 1987 at age 17
Todd was diagnosed with ALS as a teenager by Duke University Medical Center and he later had that diagnosis confirmed by Cornell University in New York. His symptoms progressed quickly and soon he needed a wheelchair to get around and a chair lift to navigate the stairs in his home. At one point he was given 6 months to live.
Though Todd and his family researched various nutritional approaches, his healing was driven primarily by creative visualization – particularly visualizing healing experiences in scriptures. These visualization experiences helped Todd find hope and faith in God that, ultimately, led him to a full recovery from ALS.
He is now in his 50s and has no residual ALS symptoms. He is married and has 3 children.
