Aarti Batavia is a certified functional medicine practitioner, registered dietitian nutritionist, author and culinary expert and is dedicated to helping individuals to live a healthy and productive life. She is one of the very few advanced functional medicine practitioners who is not only IFM- Certified but also trained by the research neurologist and author Dr. Dale Bredesen himself to implement “The Bredesen Protocol” utilizing the systems biology approach. Aarti holds a master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics from Mumbai, India, and a Coordinated Program in Dietetics from Wayne State University. She currently serves as: spokesperson – Michigan Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; CEU Chair – Southeastern Michigan Dietetic Association Chair. Past-Chair- Indians in Nutrition and Dietetics MIG and Connecting Educators Past Chair – Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine DPG.
Aarti has authored a chapter – “Developing Interventions to Address Priorities: Food, Dietary Supplements, Lifestyle, and Referrals” in the recently published textbook entitled Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Aarti enjoys travel, hiking and fusion cooking.
